About
Warm Health Technology, Inc is the exclusive licensee of the PositiveLinks (PL) technology, developed at the University of Virginia (UVA). Distributed by WHT, the PL program is available to healthcare organizations throughout the U.S. and worldwide as PL Cares®. WHT’s co-founders and PL’s inventors, Rebecca Dillingham and Karen Ingersoll, have been working together since 2013 to develop an evidence-based Digital Health platform that empowers people living with a chronic condition and their healthcare providers to collaboratively improve health and well-being.
The PL platform was originally developed to address barriers to care for people living with HIV. PL has been a component of Usual Care at the UVA Ryan White Clinic since 2017, with funding support from the Virginia Department of Health.
PL Cares® is a secure and confidential clinic-centered engagement in care program that employs a tailored smartphone app for clients and a web portal for Care Team staff to help people living with HIV reach their care goals. PL Cares® can be used by patients at all stages of the care continuum: those newly diagnosed and entering care, those who are re-engaging in care, and those who are already in care.
